Fifty Shades of Burgundy

Today I'm sharing two different ways to wear an oversized blanket scarf that has been trending for the last couple of years every fall and winter season. No doubt, these scarves are extremely bulky and can sometimes feel suffocating when trying to style.

If my outfit is more plain, meaning I don't really care about my top or bottom, I'll typically wear my scarves draped long around my neck. I think it's definitely more chic this way and helps if you're trying to add some height and dimension to yourself.
Whenever I tie my scarves in the popular triangle way, the trick is to really push down and flatten that middle part while still having those two end pieces tied in a loose knot behind it. Another tip is tying your hair back - of course, I have not secured here :) When everything feels too bulky it can get annoying to tackle that much fabric at once.

Burgundy will always be such a flattering color for anyone, no matter the skin type or hair color. It makes everything look warmer and is such a great pop of color when you typically wear all neutrals. This super cute throwback skirt from Forever21 is also really comfortable and super affordable!
