Happy birthday, America! I don't know about you, but when the fourth of July comes around, I'm in full summer-mode. I definitely feel my happiest and most relaxed when there are summer events to celebrate with family and friends. The barbecues, bonfires, music, fireworks - there is nothing I look forward to most during the year than the months of summer.

How cute is this dress from Old Navy? It's the perfect throw-on-run-out-the-door dress for summer time. This dress was structured so well - I'm 5'7" and it's not too short, the material is amazingly soft and I love pattern that the stripes lay. There is a rubber-like lining at the chest area to keep the dress from sliding with a zipper featured on the back.

I kept the look simple and clean with a fun hair-do and my favorite accessories. This is a plain bandana - rolled and knotted to the side to keep fly aways down and actually to cover my monkey ears :) I pretty much never wear my hair up so I'm glad I found this hairdo works for the hot summer days when I just can't stand to leave it down.
