Taking care of my skin has been a topic that has interested me a lot the past few years. I've started to take more precautions for my skin and invest more time and money into care and products now so that I'm thanking myself later in life. Pampering my skin is also one way that I like de-stress after the day. It's the few minutes of peace I have that I cherish to the last second. A new year's resolution I had made a couple of years back was to pledge to myself to take off my makeup and wash my face every night, regardless of how tired I was. Although I am human and have skipped some nights, I do try to stick to this habit.

I recently have acquired a Clarisonic - the Mia 2. I have wanted one for so long and now that I have it I am so in love. I just want to wash my face all the time! Although it is amazing I do have a system going to make sure my skin isn't irritated from constant contact. I first take off all of my makeup. I start with my eye makeup, using vaseline to remove my waterproof liner and mascara. I warm it up between my fingers and slide it down my lashes to make sure I'm not irritating my eyelids or causing any lashes to fall out. Depending on the amount I have on my face that day I will use a makeup removing wipe or I will just wash my face with a milky cleanser.

Once I have taken off my makeup I like to attach the sensitive brush head to my Clarisonic. My go-to face wash for the past 2-3 years has been the Creamy Fruit Oil Cleanser from Earth Science. I pick mine up from Fruitful Yield but have also seen it at Whole Foods. I use the one for sensitive/dry skin. From there I follow the directions of starting with my forehead and moving to a new section with each pulse of my Clarisonic.

When I get to sections that need more attention, I increase the speed i.e. my T-zone and hairline. Once I've finished washing my face I pat my face dry and apply a moisturizer. I use the Earth Science moisturizer for all skin types - love this one too! Dries pretty quickly and mixes well with tinted moistuirzes, too, since it's not a gel formula.

During the week I like to alternate between that moisturizer and The Body Shop's Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion. I have a lot of acne scarring and like to focus this product in those areas. I also apply this on my neck to prevent from pre-mature wrinkles since I am in the sun a lot during the warmer months of the year.

For my eye area I like to apply the Azulene Eye Cream from Earth Science, the same brand I use for my facial cleanser. I found this product at my local Marshall's and was so excited - I didn't know they also made eye creams! I apply a generous amount underneath my eyes along with on my eyelid area itself. This is especially helpful if you suffer from dark undereye circles like me!

This wraps up my nightly skin routine! Do you have a Clarisonic? What are some brush heads you use and think I should try? I plan on sharing a morning skin routine as well where I use my LUXE Cashmere Cleanse Brush Head. Look out for that post in the next couple of weeks!
