I recently picked up some items to try and have also received some products from Influenster to review, too!
I purchased these products based off of a variety of factors.
Impulsivity
While at Target, I had noticed this mascara was on an endcap. With the large, bright display for this Maybelline mascara, it was hard to pass up this product without wanting to take a further look at it. I did have prior knowledge of this product as I had seen an impressive and persuading review of this mascara from a youtube video I had watched a few days earlier. While I was in a rush, I picked this up in a moment of complete impulsivity and was instantly satisfied. This type of purchasing is terrible for me as the satisfaction only wears on for a few hours or days. This cycle repeats every few weeks as I continue to buy things that I don't need.
Limited Edition Value
These Lorac palettes were actually only available around the holiday season, which is why they were marked down so low at Nordstrom Rack. As I had scanned the display for more palettes I realized I was holding the last one. I placed such a high value of the product in my mind with it being limited edition to not only the line but in the store itself.
Here is a breakdown of each product and my inital thoughts.

I was recently at Nordstrom Rack and I found this Lorac Royal Colelciton Eye shadow collection set for only $20! I was so ecstatic I didn't think twice about buying it since these are usually a bit pricier for me. Each of these shades are very pigmented, even the lighter, white shades. I've used this for 3 different looks already and I'm considering filming a makeup tutorial with some of these shadows. Here is a close-up of the shades.

Although the packaging is fun and functional, I would rather the colors be in one palette than 3 separate ones. I can never remember which colors are in each and I'm constantly having to lay each one open in front of me to refer to. My favorite of the three is the last palette, I love all the colors, especially the purple in the bottom right corner.

I recently watched the review Kelleylovesbeauty1 did on Youtube. I love her channel, you can read about my review here. I also love this mascara. I've only used it a few times but I'm in love with it. It really helps keep my lashes curled and isn't clumpy or dry. In fact it's actually a very wet formula, which I personally like. The wand makes it really easy to apply but I have poked myself a couple of times (haha!).

I was recently sent some products from Influenster to review. I'm in the process of coloring my hair to a lighter brown so I actually really needed some products that helped with damaged hair. I've used this shampoo and conditioner about three times already. I love the smell, I like the packaging of the bottles, they're pretty much standard shampoo and conditioner bottles. I feel like everyone has jumped on the band wagon of having oils in their products but if it helps then hey, go for it! As a consumer I'm not drawn to a product if it contains these ingredients. I just want my hair to be soft and bouncy. The shampoo is easy to lather and the conditioner is really nice, too. So far I really like these products, I have no complaints!

Here is another product that I was sent to review. I love putting these hair oils at the end of my strands when I'm done styling my hair. This one has a nice scent to it and the forumla isn't too heavy like a lot of other oils are. I will be using this product consistently for the next few weeks to really see how I like it. The oil comes out of a pump and is easily controlled. I really like the small packaging of this oil, I think I'll bring it with me to a conference I'm flying to this month!

Elf eyebrow gel and powder
I received this product in a set that I got for Christmas. I only just started using it because my previous color was too dark. I don't use the powder, it's obviously way too light on me. I actually really like the gel. It seems to stay on my eyebrows better than the previous powder I was using. The color is very natural and I think I'll be using it for a long time, unless I decide to bleach and recolor my brows throughout this entire hair coloring process I'm going through.
